Arthur "Bud" William Pitts

Arthur William Pitts “Bud”, age 88, of Derby, OH passed away Friday, July 15, 2022. Bud was born in Minford, OH on July 13, 1934, to George and Susie (Saunders) Pitts.  He was preceded in death by his wife Millicent (Ames) Pitts, his parents, his siblings Gary Pitts and Peggy Holsinger Pitts, his step-granddaughter April Ackley and grandson Brock Parker.  Bud is survived by his children Carol Newsome Pitts, Milton “Bill” Pitts (Kelly), Teresa Landis Pitts, Farrin Norman Pitts (Manuella), and Ralph Ackley.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

Bud was a truck driver by trade.  He loved everything outdoors…hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, and more.  He loved to spend his time with his man’s best friend, “D-O-G.” 

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Ohio, 43143  where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm.  Bud will be interred at Pleasant Cemetery afterward. www.portertiddfuneralhome.com.
