David Lee Brackens

David Lee Brackens, age 58 of Washington Court House, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. In his passing, Dave was an organ & tissue donor who helped 40 plus people. He was born December 6, 1953 in Front Royal, Virginia.
Dave was a retired City mail carrier and of most recent, loved worked at Lucky You with special friends Talmadge and Lilly Long and Dean Long.
Preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ruby (Lunsford) Brackens; brother Steve Brackens.
He is survived by children Meagan Brackens, Nic and Cortney Brackens, Kyle and Kate Dolphin; fiancé Rhonda Stueben and her parents William and Elizabeth Smith; Siblings Barbara Bethel, Shirley Chewning, Debra and Roger Brackens, Mike Brackens; former wife, Lyn Brackens; several nieces & nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. A Funeral service will held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob Collins. Graveside committal will be Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 1:00 in Madison Mills Cemetery.
