Edward Coughenour Jr., age 66, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, passed away suddenly in Naples, Florida on Monday, February 6, 2023.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward Coughenour Sr. and Madge Coughenour. He is survived by his daughters: Dara (Thad) Barker and Angel Coughenour, sisters: Joyce (Ronald) Adams and Peggy (Mark) Platt, 5 grandchildren: Emily, Allison, Aaron, Aidan Barker, and Tronny Monahan. He has numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed graduated from Madison Plains High School in 1974. He farmed his whole life near Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Ed loved corn hole, horse shoes, fishing, hunting, traveling, riding his motorcycle, and of course sightseeing crops. He had just relocated to Bonita Springs, Florida for retirement and had enjoyed the last 4 months there.
Ed went to his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The family will welcome friends on Thursday, February 16, 2023, for visitation from 5-7 pm, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MOUNT STERLING, OHIO, 43143. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, Ohio.
