Emily H. Ward

Emily H. Ward, age 60, of Williamsport, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022.  Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Eustice “Toot” and Donna Gothard, Emily was a graduate of Columbus Central High School, Class of 1980.  She received her Associates degree in Nursing from Hocking Technical College and was an LPN for the Veterans Administration in Grove City and Columbus for over 15 years.  Emily retired from the Williamsport and Deer Creek EMS as an EMT after many years of service.  For the past several years , Emily was the vendor coordinator for the Deer Creek Dam Days Festival in Williamsport.  She was preceded in death by her parents Toot and Donna Gothard and is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Ken Ward, her children Charlie & Heather Ward and Sara & Jacob Carle, her loving grandsons Ryder Ward , Cyrus Carle and Samuel Carle, her sisters Suzann (Jim) Meade, Marvina (David) Pelfrey, Roberta Harris, Anita (Dennis) Kelley, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins, her sister-in-law Edna (David) Reed and her family, and many other loving relatives and friends including her wonderful co-workers.  Family will receive friends from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. SUNDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 and from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. MONDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2022 where her Memorial Service will follow at 11:00a.m. MONDAY.  Pastor Esto Haithcock will officiate the service.  If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to an organization of which Emily was most proud: The USS Alabama Battleship Foundation, P.O.
