Floyd L. Williams, born March 8, 1943 in Harrisburg, Ohio to the late Leslie and Pearlie Holbert Williams, died Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Grove City Hospital. Floyd is survived by his wife Jerri, whom he married October 7, 1989, his sons Kevin (Shelly) Williams of Enon, Ohio and Larry Reay of Marion, Ohio, daughters Lori Carson of Commercial Point, Ohio and Brenda (Jeff) Mosca of Lancaster, Ohio, grandchildren: Jason (Candice) Daughtery, Heather Lykins, Tim Lykins, Ashley Wilson, Megan Mosca, Toni Mosca, Justin (Heather) Mosca, Brandi (Ryan) Burns, Ryan Williams, Storm Williams, Courtney Reay and Larry Reay II, brother Mike (Danette) Williams of Englewood, FL, and Randy (Bonnie) Williams, of Washington Court House, Ohio, sisters Daisy Rowland of Darbyville, Ohio, Sue (Ed) Beckman of Mt. Sterling, and Connie (Chuck) Cassell of Washington Court House, sister-n-law Reggie Williams of Washington Court House, special niece Amy (Marc) Gothard of Ashville, Ohio, “Bonus” grandchildren, Preston, Davis (Lexie), Sophie Gothard, as well as Pappy’s boy Samuel, Ellie, and Vivian. Floyd was the Great-grandfather of 24. He will truly be missed by his fur babies Ozzy and Charlie.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Pearlie Williams, brother Billy Joe, sister Shirley, mother-in-law Betty Sparks, brothers-in-law Buddy Sparks and Roger Sparks, and sister-in-law Roxann Coy.
Floyd spent his life in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, attending Plains High School. He retired from Washington Court House City Schools. He was a member of Ashville Community Bible Church and was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
Family will receive friends 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. MONDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH where his Funeral Service will be held 10:00a.m. TUESDAY, APRIL 22, 2025 with Pastor Jim Jenkins, officiating. Interment will follow at Williamsport-Spring Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family, per Floyd, would like memorial donations to be made to the Ashville Community Bible Church, 30 Church St., Ashville, OH 43103, in his memory.
