Frances Spangler

Frances (Aunt Bobbie) Spangler, age 96, formerly of Harrisburg, died Monday, March 24, 2014 in Garnet Hill Skilled Care in Wylie, Texas.  She was born March 29, 1917 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio

Member of the Harrisburg United Methodist Church; Pythian Sisters #472 of Harrisburg; active in Harrisburg Seniors Group.  Retired from Orient State Institute in 1982.

Preceded in death by parents Luther and Estella (Dailey) Casto; husband Adam D. Spangler; sisters Anna Hix, Evalena Hite, Juanita Woods, Helen Dingus, Florence Bandy, and Sylvia McGath;

Brothers Charles and Bill Casto; great-granddaughter Alexis Lanman.

She is survived by daughter Carma (Willie) Lanman of Texas; grandsons David (Becky) Lanman, Mark (Karen) Lanman, Aaron (Nicole) Lanman, Patrick Lanman (Tara Davis); great-grandchildren Megan LaRue, Lindsey, Avery, Adam, Katelyn, and Brett Lanman; four generations of nieces & nephews.

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Rev. Edwin Martin officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 – 7 p.m.
