Harold Reay

Harold L. Reay, age 85, died Tuesday, April 2, 2014.  He was born in White Oak, Ohio.  Harold was retired from General Motors after 28 years.

Preceded in death by parents Brice Reay, Mary Butcher Reay; 2 brothers; 4 sisters, 2 sister-in-laws, 2 brother-in-laws, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

Survived by his loving wife of 65 years Virginia Engel Reay; daughter Ginger Griffith, sons Butch (Linda) Reay, Chris Reay, Tim (Pam) Reay; 7 grandchildren, Zach (Bridgette), Wes (Amy), Gretchen, Jason (Tiffany), Seth (Lisa), Jessica (Andrew), Jason (Laura); 9 great-grandchildren, Summer, Waylon, Beatrice, Blake, Ella, Brice, Arlo, Sadie, Sophia; Special nieces, Duana Goodin and Jeanie Azbell; Sisters, Betty Cocklin and Jerry Johnston, extended family, nieces and nephews.

Harold loved and enjoyed his family, who were the most important part of his life.  Thanks to the wonderful staff at Carriage Court of Hilliard and Gentevia Hospice for their love and care.

Calling hours are from 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions to ALS Association of Central Ohio, (Linda Reay’s Team of Hope) and Gentevia Hospice.
