Herman D. “Buck” Diltz, age 53, of Mount Sterling, Ohio passed away on December 30, 2020 after a nine year chronic illness. Preceded in death by parents Herman and Drema Diltz of Mount Sterling, Ohio. Survived by sisters Tamara Ferguson and Julia (Earl) Minton along with nephews Nicholas Ferguson and Rhys Minton.
Buck was a former steel worker and crane operator. Before he became too ill, Buck enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, lawn work, cook outs, camping and outdoor projects. He was an animal lover and cared deeply for his pets over the years. Buck was a country boy at heart and enjoyed classic country music and most classic movies, especially John Wayne movies.
Buck’s family would like to graciously thank his friends, neighbors and Heartland Hospice for all the help and care provided over the last several years and final weeks of his life.
A Memorial Service to be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Scarlet Oak Room at Deer Creek Park Lodge, Mt. Sterling Ohio. Private interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, State Route 323, in Madison County.
