BIRCHFIELD Howard R. Birchfield, 79 of Vinton, Ohio died Friday, September 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born Dec. 7, 1932 in Orgas, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Cecil and Nelle (Yates) Birchfield.
Preceded in death by son, Roy H. Birchfield; siblings, Loretta Ring, Roy Birchfield, and Jessie Smith.
He is survived by children, Steve Birchfield, Kevin Birchfield, Erin Birchfield, and Alice Birchfield; siblings, Robert Birchfield, Richard Birchfield, Thelma Fryer, Carol Burchett, James Birchfield, and Don Birchfield.
A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Burial will follow in Madison Mills Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 18th from 4 – 7 p.m.
