Jack "Butch" McKirgan II

Jack B. "Butch" McKirgan II, age 70, of Washington Court House, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Fayette County Memorial Hospital.  He was born June 2, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio.

Jack owned and ran his own business; an avid Ham Radio enthusiast; loved working on Star Wars movies and was a model builder for the first two movies; published author for space opera shows; and loved taking ocean cruises with Ellen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mary (O'Day) McKirgan and brother Randy McKirgan. Survived by his loving wife, Ellen; brothers James (Brenda) McKirgan and Fred (Sandi) McKirgan; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Pastor Joy Stanforth officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service beginning at 12:00 noon.
