James Edward Linville

James Edward Linville, age 49, of Mt. Sterling, OH, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. James was of Christian Faith and was employed by A.Y. Manufacturing in Columbus. He was an avid Buckeye and Dallas Cowboys fan. Jimmy loved fishing. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents James and Maxine; and aunt Margaret Faye Sockman. 

Jimmy is survived by his mother Shirley (Jack) Sockman, father Preston Linville; his brothers and sister, and numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family will welcome friends at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, Mt. STERLING, OH, for Visitation on SATURDAY, September 28, 2024, from 10:00am-11:00am, where Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00am, with Pastor Kenny Smith officiating. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, OH.
