James B. Williams, Jr.

James B. Williams (Jim), 85 of Mt. Sterling passed unexpectedly on December 20th, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Grove City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Williams of 49 years; sons Lee George, Steve George, Bobby Miller; brother Earl and sister Barb. Survived by sister Betty, and brother Rick; in addition to his son Erick (Becky) George, is his daughter Cheryl Dwyer; grandchildren Joey George, JoLeigh George, Jamison George, Heather George, Sara Dwyer, Erick George, Kate Osborne,

and Haley Miller; Great grandchildren

Gaze, Gwen, Jaysa, Anthoney, Kali, Serena, Layla, Sebastion, Maddox, Adlee, Cade, Nolan, Aliyah, and many nieces and nephews. 

 

Jim served in the Navy and National Guard for a total of 12 years. He spent many years working for Showa Aluminum Corporation and Kinnear. In his earlier years, he enjoyed working on his John Deere tractor and attending steam thresures. Jim spent most of his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed every moment. He was very loved and will be missed by many. 

 

A service remembrance will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MOUNT STERLING, OHIO, 43143. Visitation will be 4pm-6pm with a service to follow. A Graveside Service will be at a later date.
