Jean (Rowland) Stires, age 74 of Mt. Sterling died Sunday, December 8, 2013 in St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington C.H. She was born July 8, 1939 in Bloomingburg, Ohio.
Preceded in death by her parents Daniel James and Sallie (Ferguson) Rowland; brothers William Rowland of Hamilton, OH., Elwood Rowland of Calif., stillborn sister Emma, half brother Daniel Rowland of Hawaii, and granddaughter Lori Stires.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don SR Stires; sons Don JR Stires, De Stires of Mt. Sterling, and Robin Stires of Cardington; grandchildren Kyle, Melissa Stires Fout, Daniel; great-granddaughter Olivia Fout; her best friends Meren, Patty, Chris, also her little buddy Kolton and also Dustin; loving nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation with no public service has been requested.
