Jeff Tackett

Jeff R Tackett, age 55 of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his residence.  He was surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with his long time illness.  He was born July 10, 1962 in Fayette County, Ohio.  He was a bus mechanic for Madison Plains School and also worked numerous years at Heinold Hog Market. Preceded in death by his father, Richard D Tackett, brother Chad Richard Tackett, grandson Cheston and nephew Chad Anthony Tackett. He is survived by wife, Kathy (Knisley) Tackett; children Jami Marie Tackett and Jeffrey Scott Tackett; mother Nancy (Little) Tackett; siblings Annette (Steve) Howell, Bryan Lee Tackett, Regina Renee (ED) Hardesty, Celeste Ann Neel (Lucas Greene), Heath Alan (Missy) Tackett; grandchildren Hunter, Braxton, Corbin, Colton, Nevaeh, Molly, and Christian. A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Rev. Gordon Ell officiating with the interment following in Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service beginning 12:00 noon. The family would like to thank Loving Care Hospice for all their kindness and special care which includes Kelly Beekman, Becky Knauff, and Beth Ann Marshall.
