Joan Bivens

Joan Bivens, age 77, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Joan enjoyed sewing, flowers, and going on shopping trips to Amish County, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harry “Cork” Bivens, Jr., her parents Joseph and Helen Boldizsar, brothers Tim Boldizsar, Mike Boldizsar, and Joe Boldizsar, and niece Lindsey Boldizsar.

Joan is survived by her loving children: Vernon (Patti) Spaniol, Tony (Jennifer) Spaniol, Cindy (Larry) Barnett, Joan (Mark) Queen, Maureen Barney, John Spaniol, and step-daughter Jeannie (Dean) Mick; sister’s: Rosalie Jahn, and Diane Huston; grandchildren: Ashley, Savannah, Zack, Montana, Colton, Dawson, David, Matthew, Emily, Amanda, Jacob, Max, Sam, Simon, Quincy, Dustin, Madison, and Michaela; 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and her life long-friend Eleanor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2024, at OUR of MOTHER of SORROWS CHAPEL, on the grounds of ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137, with Father Dwayne McNew, Celebrant. 

Arrangements were completed by the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, MOUNT STERLING, OHIO.
