John Thomas Kille

John Thomas Kille, age 73, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, died at his home Wednesday, December 29, 2021. John was born on November 17, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Thomas and Mary Kille. He entered the United States Marine Corps on November 29,1965 and served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged on January 11, 1972. While in the Marine Corps John was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and the Vietnam Service Medal with Device. After leaving the Marine Corps, John enlisted with the United States Army on November 30, 1970 and served again in Vietnam. While John was in the Army he was awarded the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Presidential Unit Citation, Army Commendation Medal, the Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon and NCO Professional Development Ribbon. While in the Army John graduated high school in Germany in 1975 and then went on to attend college. John was honorably discharged from the Army on May 18,1983. After John left the Army he went on to become a Corrections Officer for 19 years at different institutions but ended his career at P.C.I. until his retirement on November 1, 2021. John was very passionate about his family. He was a huge Ohio State Buckeye, Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Reds fan. John was preceded in death by his parents, his step father William White, as well as his sisters Sharon and Sandy. John is survived by his wife Rebecca Kille; his children Lisa (Jason) Anderson, Columbus, Ohio; William (Nicole) Kille, Mt. Sterling, Ohio; Leslie Edington, McClure, Ohio; and Billy Kille. As well as his siblings Rick, Terry, Linda, and Billy. John had 11 grandchildren; Delayse(Kaitlyn), Kisha, Deqwan, Alisha, Mary, Rebecca, Courtney, Izabella, Sebastion, Shyloh, and Sheadon.
