John William Stage

John William “Bill” Stage Jr., age 89, went to Heaven on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 12:31 AM with his family by his side. Born May 13, 1931, to Minnie and John Stage Sr. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Mary P. Stage, and sons Mark Sr. and John. Left to grieve is Mike (Dorothy) Stage of Mt. Sterling, Carol and Gregg Westfall of Pigeon Forge, TN, Rose and Russell Tope of London, Donna and George Miller of Pigeon Forge, TN, Aaron and Amber Stage of Pigeon Forge, TN, grandchildren; Big Josh, Charlotte, Michelle, Mark J, Little Josh and Jordan, great-grandchildren; Nick, Tiffany, Leland, Mason (Little Bill), one great-great-grandson, dad’s babysitter Leland who loved to sit with him. Thanks to Bud, Michelle, and Amber, who took him to doctor appointments and helped him. A big thank you to Caris Health Care (Hospice Company). John was Chief of Mt. Sterling Squad for many years and helped get it started in Mt. Sterling. He worked at Porter Funeral Home for many years. Then went to work at Beulah Park for 20 Years. Following John’s wishes, there will be a Graveside Service at NOON, Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor John Burr officiating.
