Joseph Johnson

Joseph Eugene Johnson, age 55, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on October 5, 2016.
Joe was the strong tower of his family who took pride in giving everyone a good laugh. He adored his four grandchildren more than life and was a selfless, God-fearing, compassionate and die-hard Buckeyes and Browns fan. He spent his entire adult years ministering and singing in his home church, The Apostolic Church of Truth. Joe treasured every moment spent with his family and never left the side of his soul mate and best friend "Red". His years were spent laughing, loving and making all around him feel loved, happy and amused. His legacy will forever live on in the lives he touched with his smile and big heart.
Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years, Lori Ann Johnson and son, Joseph Derrick Johnson; parents Ernest and Julia (Davis) Johnson; brothers Everett and Tommy; sister Ellen.
He is survived by his two daughters, Leah Rose Johnson and Julianna Lynn Starks (Kei'Shawn); grandchildren Dezbrianna, Keegan, Kaleah and Kei'anna; brothers Ernest Lee (Louis), Gary (Carol), Randall, Samuel (Suzie); survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Mitchell Butler officiating with the interment following in Highlawn Cemetery in Washington Court House, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
