Joyce A. Adams

Joyce A. Adams, age 75, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, passed away and went to Heaven on Friday, June 2, 2023 while at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Foy and Madge (Stover) Pritt, Joyce was raised by her mother and step-father Ed Coughenour, Sr.  She was a graduate of Plains High School, Class of 1965 and graduated from Columbus University.  Joyce worked at Buckeye Steel and later worked for many years at United Seal in Columbus as a corporate secretary.  She married Ronald G. Adams on June 23, 1968 and together they raised their two boys in Mt. Sterling.  In addition to her father Foy Pritt, mother Madge Coughenour and step-father Ed Coughenour, Sr., Joyce was preceded in death by her brother Ed Coughenour, Jr.  She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 55 years, Ronald G. Adams, her sons Eric (Christina) Adams, Brad Adams, grandchildren: Tyler (Alexis Montgomery) Adams, Amanda Ward, Michael (Danielle) Ward, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Mark Platt, many nieces and nephews, the many loving members of the Adams Family, and her many friends.  Joyce loved quilting and enjoyed spending time with her Quilting Guild friends in Mt. Sterling.  

Family will receive friends from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. MONDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where her Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2023 with long-time family friend Pastor Jim Blankenship, officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
