Judy Mowery

Judy A Mowery, age 72, a 1960 graduate of Plains High School in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and Nationwide Beauty Academy in Columbus, Ohio; went peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and an AVID BUCKEYE AND REDS FAN. Upon retiring from Borden Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, she enjoyed spending time crafting, working outdoors, and, along with her sisters, planning her family's annual Camp-out. She loved the beach and enjoyed her winters on the beautiful sugar sands of the Gulf coast. Her smile was infectious and her heart was gold.
Her parents, Ted and June Anderson of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; two brothers, Dick Anderson and David Anderson; and two sisters, Lois Tomlinson and Donna Phillips, precede her in death.
She is survived by her three children; Gretchen Mowery Robertson, Brian T. Mowery (Lisa), and Shelly L. Tillery(Lee), five grandchildren; Matthew Mowery (Emily), Jessica Robertson, Sara Tillery, Jacob Mowery, and Eric Robertson, and great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Mowery; sisters Beverly Burkitt (Paul), Linda Bourne (Jim), and Sue Crawford (Mike); and several favorite nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life and luncheon (OSU attire requested!) will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, on May 16th beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Samaritan's Purse or to the Pancreatic Cancer Research at OSU's James Cancer Hospital.
