Linda Kay Day of Mount Sterling, Ohio, age 75, passed away Wednesday, October 11th, 2023.
Born in Greenfield, Ohio, to Lela Mae (Alspaugh) and David Sherry Day on September 14th, 1948. Linda attended Mount Sterling School and was a graduate of the class of 1967.
Linda enjoyed Ohio State Football, the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, and enjoyed bowling for many years. There is a good chance that if a country artist was touring during the 90’s that Linda had seen them in concert, and maybe even multiple times. She was a huge NASCAR fan, and loved watching Jimmy Johnson race. To know Linda was to know a fierce competitor, as she loved to play card games, especially Uno. Most holidays ended with a few rounds of Uno, and no matter the age of her competition, there was no mercy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Edwin Day.
Surviving Linda are her brothers, Wayne (Dee) Day of Kearney, Missouri, and Jack (Joy) Day of Heath, Ohio. Additional family includes her nieces, Megan Day (Kearney, Missouri) and Katie Day (Hebron, Ohio). In addition to her nieces, Linda is survived by her great-niece, Marleigh Day, and great-nephew, Macklin Day (Kearney, Missouri). Also surviving Linda are numerous cousins and her best friend of 65 years, Debi Alkire Weller.
