Lois Faye Wright

Lois Faye Wright, age 73, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, went to Heaven while at home on Friday, July 28, 2023. Born in Circleville, Ohio to the late Oscar and Rosie Atwood, Lois was a graduate of Westfall High School, Class of 1967. Lois married the love of her life, Densil K. Wright, in 1967 and together they raised their family in Mt. Sterling. She worked at various places in her career: Columbus Mutual Life Insurance Company for seven years, Timken Roller Bearing Company for two years and then served as a data entry operator at Magnetik for 29 years before she, Densil, and son Brian, started their own company in 1997-Wright’s Drilling Company. Lois was a devoted Christian. She previously belonged to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Kinderhook, Ohio. Later she and Densil were members of the South Columbus Freewill Baptist Church from 1974-88 before moving to the Mt. Sterling Freewill Baptist Church from 1988-present, where Densil was to become the Senior Pastor and where Lois served as the church organist.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Densil K. Wright, her brother Glenn Larry and an infant, unnamed brother. Her sister Phyllis Allen also preceded her in death, as well as, her niece Lesley Liston and her nephew John Hudak.

Lois is survived by her children Brian D. (Katrina) Wright and Brandi (Fabian) Graham, her grandchildren: Kameron (Jessica) Wright, Korey (Justice) Wright, Zachary (Emma) Nance, Maranda Salyers, Brandon (Amanda) Salyers, Tyler Graham, Olivia Graham and Emily Graham, her 10 great-grandchildren: John Christopher “JC” Nance, Kole Christian Nance, Kason Wright, Zachary Nance, Jr., Liam Hicks, Ellie Jo Wright, Colton Nance, Kenslie Hicks, Evy Wright and Hudson Wright. Also surviving are Lois’ “Special Children:” Deakin Fields, Payton Jones and Hunter Jones, her brother Wayne Leslie (Janice) Atwood, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Basil (Florence) Wright, Darrell (Wanda) Wright, James Gambill, Roger Gambill, Myrtle McKnight, Annie Darst, Linda Staley, Pearl Maui, Kathy (Mike) Fouch, Connie (Jim) Bentz, Zelda Neffeff, Evelyn Kidd, Edna Franklin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will welcome friends from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. TUESDAY at the MT. STERLING FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH, 15938 Cook Avenue, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where her Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2023 with Pastor Tim Stevens, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
