Mae E. Barker, age 88 of Mt. Sterling died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 19, 1926 in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Mae was a Practical Nurse for more than 40 years for both Doctors Don & Cy Young. She was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by husband, Paul E. Barker; brothers Ralph, Leo, and John Maggard; sisters Pansy Kellough and Effie Sabino.
She is survived by brothers Thomas W. Maggard, Jr. and Carl C. Maggard & wife Tricia; nieces & nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the burial following in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service. The family is being served by PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
