Marguerite Harlan

HARLAN Marguerite Kay Harlan (Ms. Kay), age 72 of Orient passed away Feb. 17, 2011 at her home with family and friends by her side. She was born Sept. 9, 1938 in New Plymouth, OH. Daughter of the late Orville and Bernice Boring.
Also preceded in death by husband Kenneth Harlan who was the love of her life; sisters Charlene, Annie, and Nilha. Now they will all be together again.
Kay has worked at Ben & Joy’s Restaurant in Mt. Sterling for 9 years and R.H. Burton in Grove City for 19 years. She was a true Buckeye fan.
She leaves behind a daughter Tracy (Shawn) McPherson of Derby, Ohio; a son Billy Burkeybile of California; 2 grandchildren, Michael Gebhard and Stacey McGrath, both of Warren, OH.; 1 great grandchild; sister, Jean and brother, John; several nieces and nephews; special friends. She will be missed by all but most of all her daughter.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Paul Moots officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
