Martha Follrod

Martha Hollar Follrod, 88, formerly of Mt. Sterling, OH. passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Bluebird Retirement Center, London, OH. She was born November 28, 1929 in Resaca, Ohio to Charles Hollar and Helen (Morgan) Hollar.  She graduated from Madison Mills High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.  She loved family, friends, and gardening. She and her husband Frank fed scores of people throughout the years at their table with food they prepared from their gardens.  Retired from Sears & Roebuck after 28 years of service in Accounting. She was preceded in death by Frank in 2008, brothers, Charles "Motts", John and Harvey Hollar and sisters, Frances Braithwaite, Charlotte Jacobs and Arietta Timmons. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Doug Wallace of Washington Court House and son Keith Follrod of Mt. Sterling, four grandchildren, Todd (Barbie) Wallace of Mt. Sterling, Dusty (Tiffany) Follrod, Aaron (Rachel) Follrod of Mt. Sterling and Cole Follrod (Virginia Stagnolia) of Grove City and five great-grandchildren, Laike and Savannah Wallace, Lacey, Waylon, and Trigg Follrod, all of Mt. Sterling.  Also survived by brother, James (Betty) Hollar of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Mary (Jack) Brill of Mt. Sterling, Cora "Boots" Matthews of Washington C.H. and a host of nieces, nephews and special lifelong friend, Jean Furniss of Orient. A Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.  Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
