Melissa Wilson

Melissa Kay Wilson, age 41 of Mt. Sterling died the evening of March 28, 2013 at her residence. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born March 9, 1972.
Melissa was a Teacher’s assistant at West Central School for Developmental Disabilities. She was also a licensed cosmetologist and a former employee of Heinzerling.
Preceded in death by father, Robert Wood; father-in-law, Wayne Wilson Sr.; step-father, John Wilkins.
She is survived by husband, Wayne Wilson Jr.; son, Jonathan A. Wilson (Jessi); stepsons, Wayne Wilson and Christopher Wilson; step-daughter, Ava Wilson; step-grandchildren Madison, Wayne, Trinity, Cyron, Rachael and Crimson; sister Melinda (Paul) Fifer; brother Loyd (Beth) Wood; mother Velma Wilkins (Phil); mother-in-law Mary Lou Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Denver Peters and Billy Warner officiating with the interment following in Darbyville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m.
