Naomi Alkire

Naomi Ruth Alkire, age 81 formerly of Mt. Sterling died Monday, September 30, 2013 in Mt. Carmel East Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1932 in Circleville, Ohio. Daughter of the late Nelson and Lucy (Wilkins) Garrett.
Ruth was a member of the Waterloo Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Preceded in death by husband, Robert; sisters Cora, Virginia, Edith, Esther, and Gayle; brothers George, Ernest, Robert and Roy.
She is survived by sons Robert (Carol) Walisa of Washington C.H., Charles (Darla) Walisa of Oregon, Jeffrey (Judy) Walisa of Stoutsville; daughter, Faye Cradlebaugh of Washington C.H.; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Kneece and Elsie Wiggins; brother, James (Linda) Garrett, all of Circleville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins`.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Waterloo Church of Christ in Christian Union. Rev. Joy Stanforth and Rev. Doyne Wiggins officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service. Arrangements were made under the direction of the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
