Nellie Mae Debo, age 85, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Born less than three miles from her home, Nellie Mae lived her entire life on Oday Harrison Road. She was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School, Class of 1955 and worked for over 23 years at WinCup and 20 years at the Glove Factory in Mt. Sterling. Nellie Mae was a long-time member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. She loved the outdoors, gardening, her family and their family get-togethers. Nellie Mae was preceded in death by her parents Ben Stroup and Idelle (Tink) Satterfield, her sister Martha Kay Holstein, her brother Harley David Stroup, her husbands Clarence Debo and Richard Heise and her niece Yvette Rowe. Nellie Mae is survived by her children: Chasity (Eric) Smith, Rick (Lisa) Heise and Doug Heise, her grandchildren: Chelsea, Kirstyn, Reese (Kaitlyn), Terri (Scott) McAndrew, Owen and Douglas, her great-grandchildren: Huntlei, Huxtyn and Hayzlei, special sister-in-law Mary Ann Cockerill, special cousin Gloria Ann Moore, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. MONDAY, JUNE 19, 2023 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143, where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00p.m. MONDAY with Mr. Billy Warner, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
