Orma “Jo” McLaughlin, age 75, of Mt. Sterling, was called home by God on Sunday, January 15, 2012. She was born in Orma, W.V. on August 13, 1936. She was nicknamed after Joe Lewis because of her fighting spirit. Jo loved the Lord, nature, animals, and her little dogs Chancey and Foxy Lady. She had a unique personality that affected many people. She was a member of the Mt. Sterling Church of Christ and Christian Union. She taught Sunday school and volunteered at The Mt. Sterling Community Center. Preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar E. Spiller; son, Oscar E. Spiller II; brother, Lee Wood; sister, Mary Ross. Sadly missed by her loving husband of 35 years, Al McLaughlin; children, Chic Spillers, Woody (Carm) Spillers, Toni (Chris) Rawlings, and Allan McLaughlin; grandchildren, Sarah, Chip, and Lucas and eight great grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 PM at The Southwest Community Church of the Nazarene 10320 U.S. Rt. 62 Orient, OH 43146 where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM.
