Pamela Bowers, age 57, of Mt. Sterling, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted friend who never knew a stranger. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering. She was the epitome of a strong, devout Christian woman. Member of First Church of the Nazarene where she was a steward, board member, and vice-president of the Missionary Society. Everyone knew her as a wonderful cook. She loved gardening, flowers, and making crafts. She was selfless, even in death, as she donated her organs to help others. Preceded in death by parents, John and Thelma Osborne; sister, Pat Stamper; father-in-law, George Bowers; and aunt, Janice Shumate. Survived by loving husband of 37 years, Stephen Bowers; children, Karen Bowers, Howard “Eddie” Bowers, Amanda (Rigo) Quintanilla, and Dustin Bowers; grandchildren, Devon, Drew, Kady, and Reece; brother, John David (Liz) Osborne; nieces and nephews, Shane (Becky), Shawn (Krisit), and David (Leidy) Osborne, Amy and Angel Sarver, and Jarrod Bowers; brother-in-laws, Jim (Diane) Sarver and Larry (Tammy) Bowers; mother-in-law, Ermalee (Howard) Shumate; step-mother-in-law, Dorothy Bowers; along with countless friends and many “adopted” children. Family will receive freinds Sunday from 5-8 PM at The Frist Church of the Nazarene 229 N. Market St. Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where a funeral service will take place Monday at 10:30. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
