Patricia Nance

Patricia (Southward) Nance, 78, passed away surrounded by her family on August 31, 2011 at her home. She was born in Pickaway County on March 21, 1933. She is survived by her daughters, Roseann Sipes and Ronda (John) Prushing of Columbus and her son Richard (Peggy) Houser of London. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, Amy (Sid) Barbour, Jeremy Sipes, Brandon (Melissa) Sipes, Kevin (Katie) Houser, Rachel (Greg) Krupa and Keith Prushing. Her six great grandchildren include Emily Barbour, Logan Barbour, Olivia Sipes, Josiah Prushing, Deajha Sipes and special foster great- grandson, Oshae. She was one of eleven children and is survived by her sisters, Florence Parmenter of Kettering, Ruby Brent of California, Ellen Kelly and Grace Cottrill of Wash C.H. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bessie Southward, her husband Jack, brothers, Cecil, Floyd, Jack and Bob, sisters, Mary Francis Beucler and Reda Mae Dawson. She retired as an MRDD State of Ohio employee after 25 years of service. Family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon at THE PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Dortha Ross officiating. Interment Pleasant Cemetery.
