Phyllis K. Stevenson, age 72 of Mt. Sterling died Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Country Glenn Nursing & Therapy Center in Washington Court House. She was born Nov. 8, 1940 in Piketon, Ohio.
The daughter of the late Claude and Florence Marie (Detty) Armstrong.
Phyllis was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene where she played the piano for numerous years.
She is survived by husband, Harold Stevenson; children Terry Evans, Angela Evans Combs, Jennifer Barnett Hill (Delbert), and Tim Barnett; 23 grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Dortha Ross and Rev. Ron Reynolds officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday beginning 11 am to 1 pm.
In keeping with Phyllis’s wishes, cremation will follow with burial in Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. The family is being served by the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
