Ronald Eugene Brown

Ronald Eugene Brown, age 65 passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Born October 14, 1956, in Washington CH, he was the son of Clarence “Gene” and Margie Brown (Lowe).

He married Janet Eileen Reid on January 20, 1978, and lived his entire life in Mt Sterling. He retired from Pickaway County Corrections with 32 years of service. In his younger years, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing golf. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He also had a love for old western movies and spent countless hours watching them in his retirement.

Preceded in death by his father; brother, Jeffrey Brown; grandson, Collin Ewing; niece, Amy Morris; and his beloved dog Bella.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet; daughter and son-in-law, Hollie and Chris Carter of Mt Sterling; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Becky Brown of Mt Sterling; his 5 grandchildren, Reid Carter and Cameron, Brooklyn, Sophia, and Becca Brown; mother, Margie Brown of Mt Sterling; sister, Kathy (Sonny) Liff of Mt Sterling; sister, Debbie Edgington of Mt Sterling; brother, Myron (Barb) Brown of Mt Sterling; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main Street, Mt Sterling, OH, 43143, on Monday, November 15^th with visitation from 11 am to 1 pm and funeral service to immediately follow.  Longtime friend Billy Warner will officiate. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Madison County, Range OH.
