BURRESS Ronald E. “Butch” Burress, Jr., age 52 of Mt. Sterling, died July 25, 2012 in Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. He was born Dec. 18, 1959 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Served in the US Army as a PFC; currently employed at Andy Frain Security services in Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald E. Burress, Sr and brother Steven Burress.
He is survived by wife, Phyllis; daughters Lynda Jo Burress, Melissa Rose Burress; sons JD Burress, Eugene Burress, and Cody Burress; step-children Travis Roberts and Ashley Chapman; 5 grandchildren; mother, Lynda Jo Clark and step-father Ron Justice; brothers Michael and David Burress.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Jim Blankenship officiating. Family will receive friends at 1:00 until time of service.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
