Ruth Ann Whiteside, previously a long-time resident of Washington Court House and Fayette County, Ohio died December 28th in London, OH at the age of 97.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted spouse, Richard Whiteside, parents, Cloyd and Lelia Craig, brother, Carl Craig, sister, Mildred Welty, and companion Orb Davidson.
Ruth Ann is survived by her two daughters and spouses, Joyce and Worley Reed of Florida; Linda and Paul O’Donnell of Virginia, four grandchildren, Cheryl Reed Blood, Bret Reed, Hugh (Kerri) Leslie IV, Craig (Kanani) Leslie; four great-grandchildren Reed Blood, Hailey Blood, Lydia, and Isla Leslie, one great-great-granddaughter, Jesse Blood and her 102-year-old sister, Jane Lorie Gulick.
The love from her ever-watchful eye as a mother, immediate smile for all, and life-long devotion to family will be cherished.
Ruth Ann never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes, there will be no services. She will be buried in White Oak Grove Cemetery, Buena Vista, Ohio.
For the past six years, Ruth Ann resided in Bluebird Retirement Community, London, OH where staff members showered her with loving care. In addition, Ruth Ann and the family were blessed to have dear friend Debbie Trego’s devotion and warm-hearted professional and spiritual attention.
Memorial contributions may be made to Debbie Trego’s Mission Ministry in which 100% of the donation goes to serving the underprivileged locally and internationally. Cash or checks may be made out to Debbie Trego and addressed to her at: 6515 Merchant Road, Delaware, OH 43015
