Val D. Manning

Val D. Manning, age 76, of Orient, Ohio, was born July 29, 1944, in Ripley, Ohio to Dexter and Anna (Zola) Manning. Val passed away at home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his son Michael, his parents, his brothers Emmit, Bill, Clyde, George, and his sister Molly. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Carol, daughter Patty Ann (Buck) Manning, son Scott (Paulette) Manning and daughter Valarie (Michael) Conway, his grandchildren: Carolyn Ann Brown, Ramey Brown, Shawna Tinch, Maddy Jean (Nick) Manning, Kami, and Katelynn Conway, his great-grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, Elana, and Rozalyn Vance, Mya Brown, Braxton Seward and Lucas Manns, sisters Barbara J. Smith and Renie A. Kelley, brother-in-law Buddy Armbrust, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Val was a member of the American Legion Post # 417 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00p.m. MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2021 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 7:00p.m. MONDAY with Pastor J.D. Bowman, officiating.
