Victor A. Stires

Victor Andrew Stires, age 62, of London, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born on April 24, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Frederick and Freda (Holton) Stires. He was preceded in death by his parents. Victor is survived by wife, Kathy Mae (Wright) Stires; children, Jason Stires of Columbus, Jennifer (Bryan) Montgomery of London, and Jacob (Lydia) Stires of Obetz; grandchildren: Victoria Montgomery and Tyler and Dalton Darst; Brothers; Dan (Drusilla) Stires of Pataskula, Bill (Julene) Stires of Circleville. Sister: Sheila (Jack) Brown of Circleville; and by too many special friends to name. Victor was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished spending every minute with his family. He has a wonderful, kind heart with tremendous sense of humor and was extremely quick-witted. He has the best Donald Duck impression. Loved to make everyone laugh and easily made a friend. He would also stop what he was doing to help no matter the case. Victor was there.  Victor recently retired after 30 years at M.H. Eby as a maintenance man. Victor and Kathy recently celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage with fond and everlasting memories with their children and granddaughter. He valued his family above all else in life. A trait he proudly passed on to his children. Victor, on his third anniversary with his wife, went fishing with his brother and uncle that evening. After fishing, they all got lost in the nearby corn field and spent four hours in the dark searching for their ride home. And he mentioned, they didn’t catch a single fish all night. He loved hunting, golfing, and taking his children fishing. Victor loved his sports. No matter what season, he had his Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, or Indians on with his family. His passion was unmatched. Family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00p.m. WEDNESDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where his Funeral Service will be held 12:00 Noon THURSDAY, APRIL 1, 2021 with Reverend Bill Stires and Reverend Dan Stires, officiating.
